Computer Aided total hip replacement

Total hip replacement is a surgical procedure in which the damaged cartilage and bone is removed from the hip joint and replaced with artificial components. Computer navigation provides the surgeon with 3-D images of the mapped patient’s hip and the surgical instruments during surgery. In addition, it assists the surgeon in more precise positioning of the implant than is otherwise possible without it.
